The members of our chapter who are linked in friendship, work tirelessly to help numerous non-profit programs that enhance the quality of life for many children, adults and senior citizens in the Oakland Bay Area community. Who We Are
The Oakland Bay Area Links, Incorporated (CA) was founded in September 1950 by seventeen East Bay women, inspired to make a difference in the community. Miriam Rogers, Mary Lou Loving, Frances France, Alice Joseph, Talulah McCrudy, Winifred Younge, Leslie Rickmond, Rose Martin, Ophelia Johnson, Mae Winfield, Mamie Buckingham, Yvonne Fouche, Hazel Vaughn, Frances Crawford, Loraine Rickmond, Margaret Lewis and Freda Bethel heeded the call of our National Founders and joined together to effect positive change for African-Americans living in the East Bay.
